The BMS and remote monitoring package shall be Rheem Connect® Gateway model no. 299319-_, which shall communicate with site BMS via Ethernet.
BMS Communication shall be via Modbus TCP/IP or BACnet TCP/IP protocols using specific Address registers.
The BMS and remote monitoring package shall provide up to 30 Continuous Flow Gas Water Heater (CFGWH) faults and up to 14 system faults and alarms when connected to a Tankpak Series 3 Deluxe water heater.
The BMS and remote monitoring package shall be factory assembled and tested and include an RJ45 Ethernet port, 10m Ethernet cable and 1.8m 240V power cord housed in an IP54 enclosure.
The gateway can be installed either indoor or outdoor and a 240V general purpose outlet socket shall be installed within 1m of the equipment in an easily accessible location, by other trades in compliance with AS/NZS 3000.
The information provided to the BMS system shall include:
- data specific for individual CFGWH units,
- storage water tank temperature,
- hot water supply to the building and hot water return from the building temperatures,
- primary hot water pumps and secondary hot water (building return) pumps operation
Optional 4G connectivity may be selected to extend remote monitoring capability via Rheem Connect® URL portal.
In this configuration any operation outside normal limits may be set to trigger an alarm for onsite service team, remote Facility Management and/or Rheem Service team when a Rheem monitoring package has been optioned.
